Post Artsakh

10/2/23 - offered by Lynn Bedrosian

O merciful Lord, we come before you with a humble but resolute spirit, seeking your grace and mercy for our Armenian brothers and sisters in Artsakh.

Our hearts are heavy with concern for their suffering and hardship. We beseech you, Lord, to strengthen them in their struggles and to provide them with courage and resilience amidst this next trial of leaving their homes in Artsakh and finding refuge in Armenia.

We humbly ask for the intercession of St. Gregory the Illuminator, St. Mary the Holy Mother of God, and all the saints. May their prayers and examples inspire us to be agents of healing. Grant us the compassion to extend a helping hand to our Artsakh families and grant them comfort in their pain and solace in their grief.

Inspire leaders and nations to work together in the pursuit of justice and peace for our people. May the light of your truth shine brightly, dispelling the darkness of hatred and division so that one day justice and
righteousness may prevail in our ancestral lands.

In your boundless mercy, hear our prayer, O Lord. We offer these petitions with trusting hearts, knowing that you are a compassionate and loving God. May your will be done, and may you guide the people of Artsakh safely to Armenia and the next chapter of their lives. And to you we offer glory and honor, now and forever. Amen.

Love & Adoration

 9/25/23 - Offered by Zovig

Love & Adoration

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before you with love and adoration. We thank you for gathering us here today to worship you. We thank Fr. Vazken and Yeretskin to make this divine appointment possible for us.  Lord, bless them and their beautiful family. I pray for all my sisters and brothers in Christ. Keep them safe and meet all of their needs. Special prayer for Artsakh. Lord be with our Armenian people and grant the Armenian higher authorities' wisdom to do the right thing at these horrific inhumane hard times.

I pray for my cousin/brother. I lay him at your feet and I pray for your mercy and for your perfect wiil be done.

Lord, we believe you are our healer, counselor, and a great physician. Please hear our prayers.

Romans 15:13: May the God of Hope fill you with all joy, peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you all. I pray all these in your Son’s powerful and precious name. Amen and Amen.

For the Lonely

9/18/23 offered by Yn. Susan Movsesian

A prayer for the lonely

I praise, thank and love You, God, the father of light.

Forgive me my sins at times, where worry and concern may enter my heart.

God, I imagine during the time when Your Son Jesus Christ was anticipating, what was to come, prior to his crucifixion, not only fear, but a sense of loneliness entered his being.

Father, today I ask that you, through us, your children grant comfort to the lonely, like the comfort found in the branches of the mustard tree.

I am seeing a sense of loneliness in our parent's generation. When I hear, my dear mother, say, "everyone is dying and leaving," I hear a hint of fear and loneliness, in her voice. Still, she declares, I am so grateful for all my loved ones, and who I still have here.

May the joy and hope of the resurrection lift and carry those who mourn and feel alone.
Lord, we praise you in all things. Amen.

Gratitude and Guidance

6/5/2023 - offered by Suzie Shatarevyan

We come to you in gratitude for the goodness in our lives. For the gift of your Son, Jesus. For the beauty in nature, for the joy of our family and friends. You never fail to provide for us.

Thank you for healing the sick and providing comfort to the brokenhearted. Death and illness is a constant, but when we give our hearts and lives to you, you promised us eternal life - truly, death has no victory over those who believe.

Also Lord, guide and watch over the group of pilgrims traveling to Armenia in the next few days, as they visit holy sites and glorify your awesomeness. Bless the Epostle ministry they are a part of. Protect and keep them safe.

Lord, bring love and acceptance into the hearts of mankind, so that everyone feels like they belong. You are the Creator, and we are all your children.

And as we end this day, thank you for our home and a place to sleep. Help us rest well, give us peaceful dreams, and protect us throughout the night. Set us free from our worries and replenish our strength for a brighter day ahead. Amen.

Remember Your Words

5/22/23 - offered by Annie Kanjian

Lord, thank you for the blessings in our lives on earth and thank you for

the promise of eternal life with you in Heaven.

Despite this knowledge, the burdens of daily life can leave us worried,

weary or disheartened. Please help us remember your words in our

times of weakness so that they may strengthen and uplift us – your

words such as those in Isaiah:

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar

on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and

not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

And “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I

will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous

right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

And in Matthew:

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in

heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my

burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Thank you, Lord, that you are our hope and salvation and that we can

always turn to you and find peace.

In Jesus’ name we pray

Amen

Be not anxious

5/8/23 - offered by Kathy Markarian

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7)

What did you spill?

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

"Because someone bumped into me!!!"

Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.

Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.

So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"

When life gets tough, what spills over?

Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?

Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting-tendencies?

Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.

Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.
