Thanksgiving

Dear loving Father,

Thank you for bringing this precious Bible Study group together with Der Vazken’s guidance to study the life of our divine savior, Jesus Christ.

Here in the U.S, we just celebrated Thanksgiving with families. This is a time to give thanks, pray and count our blessings, even when going through hard times, missing loved ones, and the many struggles we face. As Armenians, we are hurting very much after losing Artsakh recently, and hearing the horrible situations Artsakhtis are in now. We are so grateful for everyone and every organization who are helping them. We pray for love and compassion from lots of the locals who are lacking it now; and we pray for hope for all the forcefully displaced families.

Dear God, thank you for your amazing power and work in our lives. Thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. Thank you for your great love and care. Thank you for your sacrifice so that we might have freedom and life.

Forgive us when we don't thank you enough, for who you are, for all you do, and for all you've given. Help us to set our eyes and our hearts on you afresh. Renew our spirits, fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you, this day and every day. We give you praise and thanks, for You alone are worthy! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Wisdom, Thanksgiving, Protection

Իմաստութիւն Հօր Յիսուս, տուր ինձ իմաստութիւն զբարիս խորհել, խօսել և գործել առաջի քո յամենայն ժամ. ի չար խորհրդոց, ի բանիս և ի գործոց փրկեա զիս. և ողորմեա քո արարածոց և ինձ բազմամեղիս:

We thank you Lord for our countless blessings. We thank you for our health, we thank you for our families, for our children and our grand children. Please, Lord protect them from երեւելի եւ աներեվոյդ փորձանքներէ. Grant us the wisdom to navigate thru life with your guidance.

We ask you God to bless this Bible Study group, help us understand your word, the Աստուատծաշունջ, as explained to us by Fr. Vazken, with his immense knowledge of the scripture, and his brilliant way to simplify the complicated, and make it relevant to our lives today.

I would like to close my prayer with my favorite verse of Ներսէս Շնորհալիին Հաւատով Խոստովանիմ։

Generous Sacrifice

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Heavenly Father, You so generously sacrificed Your Son so that I can be relieved of my sins. Every breath that I take is a gift from You. I thank you for everything You have done for me and for continuing to guide and support me as I navigate through my life. You are my captain and I am merely a humble follower. And, all I have to do is ask in the name of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Anything is possible for You.

Heavenly Father, even though at times my days may feel like a struggle, knowing that you are there to catch me when I stumble and to put me back on the right path, makes me feel comforted and safe. You understand the hardships I face because You are with me at all times and You go through these with me. You are my source of strength and protection. You comfort me, guide me, and restore me. That’s why I can say with confidence that I will fear no evil because You are with me. Nothing I go through is unseen or wasted. Thank You for becoming the Light that pierces the darkness. Thank You for saving me, rescuing me, and redeeming me. I am so grateful that I can rely on You at all times. When I start to feel anxious, afraid, alone, or overwhelmed, help me to remember that You are with me—and You have overcome the world.

Heavenly Father, our world needs You now more than ever. Only You can help humanity to get back on track. Please touch the hearts of each human being on this earth so that we can treat each other with kindness, understanding, and love. Help us to become a better version of ourselves each day so that we can grow spiritually and support our fellow human beings in need. God, please align all our actions with Your Word so that we can please you. Refine our thoughts and change the way we think.

Thank you for Your constant guidance and unconditional love. Because of You, I am safe. Thank You! In Jesus’ name, Amen!

I am grateful

Heavenly Father, I am so grateful today. My heart overflows with gratitude. For eyes that see. For ears that hear. For fingers that grasp. For knees that bend. For lungs that breathe. Thank You for Your sustenance that fills me, your light that surrounds me, and your love that never fails. Thank You not only for your countless blessings but for the challenges that draw me near to you. Thank You for the hard moments when you gave me the strength to wait out the storm. Whatever storms come into my life, you are my Rock and my Shelter. When I am hurting, broken defeated, belittled, let your love overflow from the depths of my soul. Please let me love as much like you as humanly possible. Equip me for this emotion and prepare my soul for the overflow. Use me as an instrument of your love. Lord, Soften my heart where it has grown hard, push me out of my comfort zone, and allow me to show love far past the circle that surrounds me. When I am frustrated with someone, let love be my first thought. When I am disappointed with someone, let love be the first reaction. Reveal in me the people and places in my life that need love. Reveal to me the faces that I need to love. There are times lord, when I do not know which decision to make. Your word says that you determine my steps. Thank you for the freedom that brings to my mind and heart. As I make my plans for today and tomorrow, and as I step forward in faith, guide my steps lord where you want me to go. Turn me away from the direction of anything that I make plans for that will take my eyes off of you. Let me trust in you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding; in all your ways may I submit to you, and you will make my paths straight.

Thank you for each new day that you have given us. Thank you for creating our minds to dream. You designed each of us with a need to create, to develop, to dream of new possibilities. Thank you for giving us the freedom to make our own plans. Thank you not only for your countless blessings but for the challenges that draw all us near to you.

Bless us with rest tonight, Lord, and a good night’s sleep. Forgive us for the things we did today that did not honor you. We need your help every day, and we thank you for the strength you give and for helping us knowing that with you, even hard things are possible. Bless our families, our homes, our bible study group and their love ones, our Dear Fr. Vazken and his family and bless the people in our world, and help them to know you love them too.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for loving me. I thank You for always protecting me from evil and carrying me in the palm of Your hands. I thank You for all the blessings You have given me in my earthly life.

I know I get weak at times and I allow the enemy to creep in with doubt and fear. During these times, Father, help me to resist the temptation. Please guide my every step so that I am transformed. Help me to renew my mind and to stay strong with positive thoughts as I get closer and closer to You.

Father, I can do nothing without Your grace. No matter how much I plan or I worry, nothing will happen without Your will. I trust that You always have my higher good in mind. So, I thank You for helping and strengthening me to move forward with the decisions I have to make each day.

Father, I thank You for the new beginning You have granted me. I have faith that You will keep me healthy as I let go of past feelings and thoughts of fear and guilt. Help me to surrender my life to You. Please give my joy back and fill my heart with determination, trust, faith and love.

Father, also grant me the grace to walk in Your shoes. Help me to be a blessing to others and to serve without complaining so that I am worthy of Your protection. 

I pray this in Jesus’ name, AMEN!
