Offered by Genese Phillips
June 15, 2026
Lord Jesus, we are grateful for the unity we find in You through our Bible study. Strengthen the bonds of our fellowship and help us to encourage one another in faith. May we bear each other’s burdens and build each other up as we grow in Your love and truth. Keep us united in Your Spirit. Amen
Prayers from Questions
Since 1982, Fr. Vazken has held weekly Bible studies under the name "Questions in Faith." These are prayers offered by participants from our latest sessions (post-pandemic). From the depths of our hearts comes this dialogue with God.

Prayer for victims of atrocities
Offered by Seza Ouzounian
April 29, 2026
As the atrocities and genocide continue in Palestine…
We shall remember them. We shall not lose heart.
Minute of Silence… for the victims of all the recent atrocities
We pray for our suffering world,
for the end of enmity and strife between nations,
for the end of inequality and poverty affecting people of various backgrounds.
We remember the victims of violence, discrimination and persecution
in all forms in our world today.
We pray for nations and peoples contending with the horror of war,
for men, women, and children whose lives are blighted
by the violence, cruelty and abuse of others.
May the nations embrace that which we all aspire to:
‘Nations shall beat their swords into ploughshares
and their spears into pruninghooks.
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war
or the strong dominate the weak any more’
but rather be compassionate and supportive to one another
making peace as their ultimate goal.
This prayer is from the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day Service, April 24, 2019, at Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, Ireland, prepared by the Armenian Genocide Recognition Committee. This annual service pays tribute to the victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide, commemorating the 1.5 million Armenians who perished in only a couple months.

Angel of Peace
offered by Anush Avejic
April 16, 2026
Lord Jesus Christ, we come to You today feeling the weight of uncertainty in our world. When the future seems unclear and fear grips our hearts, we turn to You for strength and guidance.
Forgive us for trying to control outcomes in our own strength. Take away our anxiety, our worries about the future, and our questions. Guide our steps when we cannot see the road before us.
Send us your angels of peace that they may fill our days and nights with serenity and calm. Help us to convey that peace through our actions to bring change to the world around us. Help us walk by faith, not by sight, and trust that You are working all things for good, even when we cannot see it.
Strengthen our faith to trust Your timing, and use us as a light to others who are afraid. We choose to trust You, knowing You go before us into every unknown tomorrow.
Thank you for blessing us with all that we have, our families, our friends, the gifts of a home, a bed, food in our cupboards, and the support systems that help us navigate the life - and to also see the sweetness and beauty that you have provided us.
Finally, we pray for those who are caught in senseless wars and violence, especially those in Iran, Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and throughout our world. Grant wisdom to our world leaders to negotiate through conversations and to put down their weapons and work toward peace.
We ask this in your name along with the Father and Holy Spirit. Amen.
