For those Struggling with Time Commitments

Offer by Gail Chaleblian
September 24, 2025

Lord, help me to slow down.
Be with me when I feel consumed and overwhelmed with all that is before me. Calm me when I am having feelings of frustration and moments of weakness. I give these to you, Lord.

Protect me from myself and my tendency to become impatient. Help me to slow down so that I may see my life through your eyes. FOr I know all of these challenges are actually my biggest blessings!

Help me to trust in Your vision and may that trust replace the worry in my heart and mind. Give me the energy, persistence, and courage to persever so that I may continue to live according to Your teachings and act according to Your Will.
Amen.

Take away the arrogance and hatred...

Offered by Sonya Doumanyan
September 17, 2025

Excerpt from the 2025 Inaguration Prayer offered by Bishop Mariann Budde, Washington DC
O God, you made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus your Son: Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and confusion to accomplish your purposes on earth; that, in your good time, all nations and races may serve you in harmony around your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
May God grant us all the strength and courage to honor the dignity of every human being, speak the truth in love, and walk humbly with one another and our God, for the good of all the people of this nation and the world.

In Gratitude, even with Heavy Heart

Offered by Anush Avejic
September 3, 2025

Heavenly Father,
We are grateful to you for all that you have given us. For the beauty and sweetness of our lives, our families, our children and grandchildren. For our health, the warmth of a home, and the stability we enjoy in our lives.

We come before you with heavy hearts as the world groans under the weight of conflict, fear, and division.

Lord, where there is hatred, let your love prevail. Where there is division, bring reconciliation through the power of the cross. Where there is suffering, pour out your mercy and comfort.

We lift up to you the people of Gaza, Ukraine, and everywhere in the world where there is hatred and unrest. God of Peace, stretch out your hand to still the violence, to shield the innocent, to heal the brokenhearted, and to bring an end to war.

Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Lord Jesus, prince of peace, we ask you to rule in the hearts of all people. Disarm hatred with your love, replace vengeance with your grace. Break every chain of oppression with your truth.

Raise up peacemakers in every land. Fill leaders with wisdom and humility. And help us, your church, to be a light in the darkness - humble in love, bold in faith, and faithful in prayer.

We ask that you heal the sick - especially Yelena. Help her body to reject all cancer and bring her to full wellness. And for Silva in prison, bring her peace and comfort, and fill her life with patience, strength and wisdom. Soften the hearts of her oppressors and help bring her to freedom.

Begin with us, oh Lord. Change our hearts, renew our minds, and make us instruments of your divine peace.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
